DANVILLE, Ill. (WAND) - A man died after being shot at a bar in Danville, according to the Danville Police Department.

Police said they were called to Scooter's Bar, 1114 E. Voorhees Street, around 1:30 a.m. Saturday.

Police said the first arriving officers found a 30-year-old man who had been shot. Paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the bar. His name has not been released.

Police said not long after arriving at the bar they were notified of a man who showed up at an emergency room who had been shot.

The person had a non-life threatening injury and was later charged with unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon and aggravated discharge of a firearm.

Police have not named the suspect. It's not clear if the person arrested knew the shooting victim.
