President Donald Trump issued a message Saturday warning airlines, pilots and criminal groups to consider Venezuelan airspace “closed in its entirety".
“To all Airlines, Pilots, Drug Dealers, and Human Traffickers, please consider THE AIRSPACE ABOVE AND SURROUNDING VENEZUELA TO BE CLOSED IN ITS ENTIRETY. Thank you for your attention to this matter!” Trump said in a written statement posted on his Truth Social profile.

There was no immediate response from Venezuela, which maintains authority over its own airspace, to the post. Flight-tracking data appeared to show a handful of planes still above the country on Saturday morning, NBC News reported .
