TRINIDAD, Colo. (KKTV) - A man is facing several charges after police said they found illegal drugs in his vehicle on Monday.
According to the Trinidad Police Department (TPD), officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling north on I-25.
Officers said they received consent to search the vehicle and deployed K9 Jefe, who alerted to the presence of drugs.
After a complete search of the vehicle, officers seized 26 pounds of cocaine.
The driver, Edgar Arana, was arrested and taken to the Las Animas County Detention Center on the charges of possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance, special offender - importation, and unlawful possession of a controlled substance.
