President Donald Trump issued a warning to pilots and airlines about the airspace surrounding Venezuela on Saturday, amid escalating tensions with the Latin American country.
"To all Airlines, Pilots, Drug Dealers, and Human Traffickers, please consider THE AIRSPACE ABOVE AND SURROUNDING VENEZUELA TO BE CLOSED IN ITS ENTIRETY," Trump wrote on Truth Social. Advertisement
The Venezuelan government called the comments "hostile" and a "colonial threat" intended to undermine their sovereignty.
