Northgate’s standout running back Woody Schettini has come a long way in a short amount of time, both in building a football career and in life.
The speedy Viking sophomore had his best season to date on the gridiron in 2025 and was a big part of the team’s turnaround from a 2-8 record in 2024.
Schettini proved to be the Vikings’ workhorse in the backfield this fall. He carried the ball 224 times and racked up 1,436 yards on the season. He found the end zone 18 times and averaged 130.5 yards per game.
This season, Schettini was also named Offensive Player of the Year in Region 3-AAAAA voting.
Not bad for a kid who has only been playing football since seventh grade.
