NORFOLK, Va. — Norfolk Fire-Rescue crews responded to a house fire in the 1300 block of Buckingham Avenue Saturday morning.

The fire happened around 10:21 a.m. When crews arrived, they found heavy smoke and flames coming from the rear of the home. Firefighters deployed multiple hoses, and the fire was under control by 10:51 a.m.

One person is being evaluated by medics at the scene. No additional injuries have been reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
