A recent inclusive music class hosted by the More Music Foundation drew seven children with autism or Down syndrome for an hour of connection, creativity and supportive learning at the ChildrenConnect Museum in downtown Newnan.
The Nov. 22 session, held at the museum on 30 Temple Ave., was led by a licensed music therapist with neurologic music therapy training, giving participants a safe space to explore how sound, rhythm and movement can support emotional regulation and self-expression.
Abigail Kimbell, director of client engagement with Pathways Center and a board member with the More Music Foundation, said the response exceeded expectations.
She said registrations filled quickly and the team decided to close signups early to maintain a small, sensory-friendly environment. She added
