A stark divide is growing among conservatives who voted for President Donald Trump in 2024, according to a new Politico poll .
The survey found that 55% of Trump voters identified themselves as “MAGA Republicans,” while 38% did not. And those two groups have taken divergent views of how the president is handling his second term in office, with non-MAGA voters far more likely to disapprove of his performance on the economy and health care.
About one quarter of non-MAGA Trump voters said that former President Joe Biden is still responsible for the current economy compared to 47% of MAGA voters, the Politico poll found .
