The Boston Bruins got Casey Mittelstadt back from injury on Friday.
Mittelstadt had been out of the lineup since Nov. 6, as he had dealt with a lower-body injury. His return to the lineup came at a great time as the Bruins were without David Pastrnak, Pavel Zacha, and Matěj Blümel due to injuries.
In Mittelstadt’s return to the lineup, he had 17:14 of ice time and also scored in his return. The forward said he felt good and was glad he was able to contribute to the Bruins, but he was disappointed with the result.
“Of course, you want to win, but it definitely felt good to be back,” Mittelstadt said , as seen on NESN’s postgame show. You miss it when you’re gone, for sure.
“Sometimes you forget – it is hard to watch your teammates play and not be able to help. Would’ve liked a better
