Lee Middle School has ten new award-winning students.

The school’s economics team recently competed at the first annual Coweta/Fayette Econ Showdown, hosted by the Georgia Council on Economic Education.

Ten students, including Isabella Torres, Colt Troxler, Caleb Mickle, Gavin Williams, Carys Kuhr, Marley Leaphart, Arleigh Reed, Susie Park, Harper Messiah, and Emmanuel Joseph, were divided into three teams to represent Lee Middle School.

The competition, hosted at Blake Bass Middle School, pitted 11 teams from schools in Coweta and Fayette county in a three-round contest that pushed students’ critical thinking and teamwork skills to the limit.

The contest itself highlighted the Four C’s, Lee Middle School Principal Dr. Amy Westbrook said.
