An event tonight (November 29) at Darlington Hippodrome has been cancelled at short notice due to illness.
A performance of Count Arthur Strong as Charles Dickens in ‘A Christmas Carol’ at the venue was scheduled to take place.
However, producers announced the decision this afternoon, confirming that the comic performer was unable to appear.
Drum, the show’s producer, said: “Due to continued illness, the show tonight in Darlington has been cancelled.
"We are so very sorry for the inconvenience, but, of course, once again it is totally outside our control.”
Darlington Hippodrome said its box office team is contacting all ticket holders directly and that customers will receive an automatic refund on Monday.
