And while most fans would like to see change in the net, there’s also a realization that there’s no easy answer here, no obvious trade to be made that will solve all problems, in large part because the market for goalies isn’t abundant and it’s pricey.

The Oilers have the lowest save percentage in the entire NHL at .860 with Stuart Skinner at .878 and Calvin Pickard .847. Skinner ranks 43rd in this category for regular NHL goalies while Pickard ranks last, 51st overall.
