The Bruins were tied for the most games played (26) going into Saturday’s divisional tilt against the Detroit Red Wings. That fact is showing up in the worst way possible.
Already besieged by injuries, the B’s added another body to the list with right shot defenseman Henri Jokiharju being moved to injured reserve with an unspecified injury and Michael Callahan was brought back up from Providence.
Jokiharju joined the “unavailable” list that included David Pastrnak (unspecified), Charlie McAvoy (face), Viktor Arvidsson (lower body), Jordan Harris (ankle) and Matej Blumel (lower body).
“It’s a tricky injury. It could be days, could be…I don’t know. So we have to manage that so Callahan will be back in,” said coach Marco Sturm.
