The National Weather Service issued a wind advisory at 12:53 p.m. on Saturday valid for Sunday between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. for Niagara, Orleans, Erie, Genesee and Wyoming counties.
The weather service says, "Southwest winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected."
"Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result," says the weather service. "Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects."
