While condominium prices are rising, home seekers still find them more attainable than houses on Long Island.
Condo prices in Nassau County exceeded single-family home prices in August, but they dropped back down in September, Newsday reported. The median sales price for a single-family home in September was $849,000 in Nassau, based on 752 closed sales, and $720,000 in Suffolk, based on 961 closed sales, according to OneKey MLS.
How do prices change based on the number of bedrooms for condos?
According to OneKey, the multiple listing service that covers Long Island, there is a nearly $200,000 price jump Island-wide from one bedrooms to two. A three-bedroom condo costs a median of $275,000 more than a two-bed, the data showed.
