The Winter Spectacular is returning to Wyandanch this December, bringing holiday magic — and a special Santa — with it. Wrapped up this year in a new pink coat laced with fur, Santa James sets out to fulfill the wishes of children seeking a Saint Nick who looks like them.

"I’ve been in the Santa business for 13 years working as an area manager for Smith Haven Mall, Roosevelt Field, Walt Whitman and Broadway Commons in Hicksville. To be honest, I noticed there wasn’t a lot of diversity or equality for the Black Santas," says Philana Aiken, owner of Santa Your Way photo studio. "I decided to show the world what great representation is and how it’s important for us to have the option to have a Black Santa."
