This village outside of Darlington features a hotel set in 'picturesque' countryside.

Croft-on-Tees is a village which has been branded as a "perfect place for an Autumn and winter stay" or a "top pick for a walk."

Sitting just outside of Darlington, it is on the River Tees and is home to the Grade I-listed Croft Bridge, which is a 17th-century, seven-arch stone structure, marking the county boundary between North Yorkshire and County Durham.

The Croft Hotel, on Northallerton Road, in Croft-on-Tees, is described as "charming" with a "picturesque countryside setting" by guests.

The BW Signature Collection hotel is a Grade II-listed building and underwent a £2m transformation in January.
