Armed police and negotiators swarm street after 'domestic incident'

Armed police officers and negotiators swarmed to a residential street following reports of a "domestic incident". A huge police response, including officers armed with assault rifles and Glock pistols, were dispatched to Ritson Street, just off Lodge Lane in Toxteth , following reports of an incident at around 10.35am today, Saturday.

Four dark coloured vehicles used to transport armed officers and two Matrix cars were among around 10 vehicles sent to the scene by Merseyside Police . The officers could be seen outside a small terraced house on the street and remained in the area until the incident was stood down around three hours later.
