LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Lincoln Fire and Rescue responded to a chimney fire in southeast Lincoln on Saturday.

The fire was reported along Shamrock Circuit near 70th and South streets at 11:09 a.m.

According to LFR, the fire started in the fireplace of the house, and went through the chimney into the attic space. Firefighters had it under control in 30 minutes.

LFR said five people and three dogs were displaced due to the fire. Red Cross was contacted for additional assistance.
