A procession of more than 100 semi-trucks will result in "significant" delays as it travels through the northern suburbs during Saturday afternoon's snowstorm.

The semi-trucks, which are being escorted by Cook County Sheriff's Police to the Our Lady of Guadalupe shrine in Des Plaines, will stop in Niles at around 1 p.m., police there said in a Facebook post.

"Significant" delays will occur as the trucks travel through the village, and during that time, drivers are being asked to used alternate routes. The procession will head northbound on Harlem from Niles' southern border on Harlem near Devon, then turn northbound on Milwaukee Avenue and go through the community to the northern border at Greenwood Avenue.
