Carlos Alcaraz has overtaken Novak Djokovic’s record points haul for a single season.

It sees the reigning world No.1 top the points ranking for the second time in his career.

The Spaniard recorded 12,050 points in 2025, 20 more than Djokovic’s sum in 2020.

Despite enjoying a blistering season overall, Alcaraz fell short of Andy Murray ’s grand total of 12,410 recorded in 2016.

Alcaraz finished ahead of world No.2 Jannik Sinner who posted 11,500 ranking points.

There was a sizeable gap between second and third place with Alexander Zverev finishing with 5,160 points – 6,300 less than the Italian.
