BOSTON - The cross country season will continue for Exeter High School junior Lexi Paterna.

Paterna placed sixth at the Brooks Northeast Cross Country Championships on Saturday, Nov. 29 in a time of 17 minutes, 25.8 seconds and qualified for the Foot Locker National Championship race in San Diego on Saturday, Dec. 13.

Abigail Hennessy of Westford, Massachusetts won the race in a time of 16:47.3. Virginia Kraus of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania was second in 17:01.1, Leah Starkey of Ocean, New Jersey was third (17:02.6), Amelia Ayila of Olney, Maryland was fourth (17:04.1), and Allison Lee of Princeton, New Jersey was fifth (17:20.7).
