Two Oregon State football players were arrested in November for alleged driving under the influence of intoxicants (DUII) and reckless driving, according to court records.
Wide receivers Jimmy Valsin III and David Wells Jr. were each charged with both DUII and reckless driving in separate alleged incidents Nov. 1 and 23. Both are Class A misdemeanors under Oregon law.
Neither player is on the road trip to face Washington State in the Beavers’ final regular season game Saturday.
“We are aware of the alleged law violations involving Jimmy Valsin III and David Wells Jr. and take these matters very seriously,” OSU athletic director Scott Barnes said in a written statement. “Valsin and Wells are not currently participating in Oregon State football team activities.”
