A Brooklyn man is facing felony charges after he was pulled over on Staten Island while allegedly driving drunk with a 2-year-old child in the car on Thanksgiving Day, police said.

Elijah Page, 34, was stopped on I-278 near Exit 3 on Thursday, Nov. 27, after a trooper spotted a gray Honda sedan speeding and following another vehicle too closely, according to New York State Police.

During the roadside investigation, the trooper determined Page was intoxicated, and a 2-year-old child was found in the backseat, police said. The child was not injured and was released to a family member.

Page was taken into custody and brought to the NYPD’s 120th Precinct, where sobriety testing showed he was over the legal limit, police said.

He was charged with Aggravated DWI with a Child under Leandra’s Law, a felony, along with Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Driving While Intoxicated, DWI with a BAC above .08%, and several traffic violations.

State Police said Troop NYC has already made seven DWI or impaired-driving arrests since Thanksgiving and emphasized that enforcement continues throughout the holiday weekend.
