PHOENIX — A teen was found shot, inside a crashed car in south Phoenix, according to authorities.

The Phoenix Police Department said the shooting happened at 3:50 a.m. near 7th Avenue and Baseline Road.

Officers got to the scene and found the teen had been shot in the leg, with the vehicle crashed.

An officer at the scene told 12News the vehicle was stolen.

The teen was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A man was detained a short time later.
