OTTAWA COUNTY, Mich. — A woman is seriously injured after a crash in Wright Township on Saturday morning.
According to the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office (OCSO), around 11:15 a.m., deputies responded to a report of a crash in the area of eastbound I-96 near 24th Avenue.
An investigation on the scene showed that a 37-year-old man from Coopersville was headed eastbound on I-96 in a pickup truck with his passenger, a 36-year-old woman also from Coopersville.
As the pickup truck continued on eastbound I-96 and approached 24th Avenue, it attempted to pass an Ottawa County plow truck in the right lane, driven by a 40-year-old man from Ravenna.
Deputies said as the pickup truck began to pass, it clipped the side of the plow truck, sending the pickup truck into the median guard wires.
