1NORTH PLAINFIELD, NJ – Police are looking to reunite a lost dog with its owner after the animal was found near 485 Somerset Street earlier today.

Officers said the dog was safely recovered and is being cared for while efforts continue to locate its owner.

The North Plainfield Police Department shared the alert on social media, asking residents to help spread the word.

Anyone who recognizes the dog or believes it may belong to them is urged to contact North Plainfield Police Communications at 908-769-2937 or visit Police Headquarters.
