A “true legend of the Scottish music industry” has died aged 63. Tributes have been paid to Barbara Spackman, who was director of independent ticket agency, Tickets Scotland , and the “heart and soul” of the company for nearly 30 years.
Barbara died on November 22 following a “short but incredibly brave battle with cancer ”, the company announced on social media . A statement added: “For nearly 30 years, Barbara was the heart and soul of Tickets Scotland. We know first-hand the impact Barbara had on everyone she met – customers, bands, promoters, colleagues and friends. She was a true one-off and completely irreplaceable.
