AUBURN, Calif. (KOLO) - The Auburn Police Department has been busy this long holiday weekend that began Wednesday, Nov. 26.
“We stopped a driver who was out enjoying the pre-holiday festivities a little too hard … and by little, we mean twice the legal limit," according to a police graveyard crew Facebook post.
Look, we get it, the post said.
“Thanksgiving Eve is basically the Super Bowl of going out … reunion night, ‘drinks-giving,’ biggest bar night of the year — we know the vibes," the post said.
Then on Thursday, Nov. 27, police issued another Facebook post accident alert that said Auburn Ravine and Marguerite Mine roads was reopened after a vehicle collision.
“The driver was almost three times the legal limit — a decision that could have had far worse consequences," the post said
