STILLWATER, Oklahoma (KCRG) - Iowa State closed their regular season on a three-game winning streak, grabbing their fifth win in conference play, taking down Oklahoma State on the road 20-13.
Matt Campbell knew it would not be easy. Oklahoma State was winless in Big 12 play, but they provided a challenge for Iowa State. The Cyclones survived a fourth quarter comeback attempt; they held the Cowboys to a field goal on their penultimate drive, then they held the ball for three and a half minutes to tick off most of the clock.
Iowa State ran the ball effectively. Running backs Carson Hansen and Abu Sama combined for 36 attempts and 196 yards on the ground.
Quarterback Rocco Becht threw 8-of-17 for 94 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions.
The Cyclones forced two turnovers and scored 10
