Police arrested seven teenagers who led them on a chase through several southern Massachusetts towns in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The incident began around 1:50 a.m. on Saturday when Norwood Police Officer Tyler Baker was conducting traffic enforcement on Route 1 North near Dean Street, Norwood Police Chief Christopher Padden said in a Facebook post .
Baker saw two cars leave a nearby Mobil gas station and pull into the southbound lane of Route 1. The cars made an illegal U-turn at Dean Street to head north, according to Padden.
Baker pulled into Route 1 north to stop the two cars. But when they saw him hit his emergency lights, they fled and outran him. A second Norwood police officer, further up Route 1, caught up to the fleeing cars. That officer broadcast the license ta
