'This shortfall means hundreds of Veterans and their families may go without the most basic comforts of the holidays: a warm meal, essential supplies and the reassurance that their community still stands with them.'

In a statement, VAFB called this holiday season “ one of the most challenging seasons we have ever faced,” citing postal disruptions, reduced food drives and the rising cost of living as contributing factors.
