Will Martin and Aaron Loritts walked side by side for around five minutes from the visiting stands at Ellwood City’s Helling Stadium to the locker room.

The rest of the Seton LaSalle team, save for a few coaches, had already headed in and begun changing and packing up the buses. The Rebels (12-2) came up short against District 10 champion Farrell 40-19 in Saturday afternoon’s PIAA Class 2A semifinal.

Farrell’s Juelz Johnson, who has over 5,000 rushing yards in his high school career, piled up 240 yards and three total touchdowns.

But Martin and Loritts — two of five seniors who suited up for the final times as Rebels — hung around a little longer. They smiled talking to family and friends. They were stopped multiple times for pictures on their way back to the locker room.
