Strictly Come Dancing bosses may have inadvertently confirmed a replacement host for the 2026 season. Fans of the long-running BBC show were blindsided earlier this year when Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman announced they were quitting the show at the end of the current season.

Since Tess, 56, revealed last month that she is quitting Strictly after 21 years - and Claudia, 53, after 15 - fans have been speculating who could take over the reigns. And while a number of stars have been hinted at as potential successors - at least one seems to have been given an edge.
