BLOOMINGTON — Indiana football will get a chance to avenge a loss that’s haunted them for more than a year at Lucas Oil Stadium next week.

The No. 2 Hoosiers (12-0, 9-0 Big Ten) clinched a spot in the conference championship on Friday night by beating Purdue. They watched the No. 1 Buckeyes (12-0, 9-0) grab the other open spot on Saturday by beating Michigan, 27-9, to set up a battle of the only remaining undefeated teams in the country on Saturday, Dec. 6, in Indianapolis.

This year’s matchup between the top two teams in the country will likely determine the No. 1 seed in the College Football Playoff, with the winner locking up a trip to the Rose Bowl for the quarterfinals as the conference’s highest ranked team.
