ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Ohio State’s 27-9 win over Michigan featured two moments that might not have impacted its eventual outcome but did at least fit the category of questionable.
The first was when Wolverines linebacker Jaishawn Barham received a personal foul penalty after head-butting a referee. To the surprise of many, it didn’t lead to an ejection.
Afterward, Big Ten Referee Kole Knueppel provided a reason why:
“In Rule 9, it’s a judgment call,” Knueppel said. ”By the judgment of the official, it wasn’t forcible enough for ejection, but it was an unsportsmanlike.”
Julian Sayin helped Ohio State football end a drought vs. Michigan. Can he end 2 more next week?
