Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders (12) reacts at the end of the game against the Las Vegas Raiders at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada.

The San Francisco 49ers (8-4) and Cleveland Browns (3-8) meet Sunday for a Week 13 matchup. Kickoff from Huntington Bank Field in Cleveland, Ohio, is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET (CBS). Let's analyze BetMGM Sportsbook's NFL odds around the 49ers vs. Browns odds and make our expert NFL picks and predictions for the best bets.

The Browns lead the all-time series 13-8, including a 19-17 victory Oct. 15, 2023, in the most recent meeting in Cleveland. The home team has won the past 5 meetings since the Browns went on the road and won 13-12 in 2003.

The 49ers polished off the Carolina Panthers 20-9 as a 7.5-point favorite on Monday Night Football in Week 12, easily cashing the Under (49). QB Brock Purdy threw for 193 yards, 1 TD and 3 INTs. All 3 miscues came in the first half, but Purdy was able to rebound nicely in the second half. RB Christian McCaffrey rumbled for 89 yards and a TD, while adding 7 grabs for 53 yards. TE George Kittle had 78 receiving yards on 6 catches, and WR Jauan Jennings had 5 receptions for 41 yards and a score.

San Francisco has posted back-to-back victories for the first time since opening the season 3-0. Frisco has won 3 of the past 4 games, while also going 3-1 ATS. The Under against the Panthers halted a 3-game Over run.

The Browns posted a 24-10 win on the road as 3.5-point underdogs as the Under (36) hung on in the first NFL start for QB Shedeur Sanders. He threw for 209 yards, 1 TD and 1 INT, while rookie RB Quinshon Judkins rushed for 47 yards and 2 scores. The defense also posted 10 sacks, including 3 by the NFL leader DE Myles Garrett, who has 18 sacks on the season.

Cleveland has won twice in the past 5 games, while going 3-2 ATS. The Under in Vegas snapped a 4-game Over run.

The weather will be frightful in the morning in Cleveland, with snow showers changing over to mixed bag by mid-morning, and then just light rain. At gametime, the forecast calls for just a 10% chance of precipitation, with temperatures around 35 degrees. The big story will be the winds whipping 25-29 MPH, with gusts over 40 MPH at times.

49ers at Browns picks and predictions

Prediction

Browns 18, 49ers 16

Moneyline

The BROWNS (+195) are worth a roll of the dice at home in the extremely gusty winds off of Lake Erie on Sunday.

Cleveland has allowed a total of 56 points in 4 home games at Huntington Bank Field this season, or 14.0 points per game (PPG). The defense was tremendously impressive against the Raiders last week, particularly the pass rush with 10 sacks.

The key to this game might be Judkins against the 49ers, who will be missing Bethune in the middle. He had been doing a great job subbing in for LB Fred Warner, who was lost for the season last month.

Against the spread

Play the BROWNS +5 (-110) in the blustery weather. Cleveland looks to carry over its momentum from the 24-10 win in Vegas.

Meanwhile, the 49ers are 2-1 ATS going east of the Mississippi River this season (yes, New Orleans is east of the Mississippi). San Francisco is 5-2 ATS on the road, too, so be careful. However, it hasn't played in inclement weather like we'll see Sunday.

Over/Under

UNDER 35 (-110) is an extremely low number, and making this play takes stones.

Last week, both teams hit the Under, and the winds should hamper both offenses. We'll likely see a mostly ground-based attack from both teams rather than putting ducks in the air in gale-force conditions. The kicking game should be affected greatly, too. We aren't likely to see long field-goal tries, but more fourth-down attempts instead. That should keep scores down too.
