Syracuse, N.Y. — The Syracuse football team lost 34-12 to Boston College on Saturday, finishing its season on an eight-game losing streak and concluding, probably, one of the least competitive stretches of football in the program’s history.

With the defeat in the JMA Wireless Dome, Syracuse (3-9, 1-7 ACC) finished in a tie for last place in the ACC with Boston College (2-10, 1-7). The Orange has lost the eight games by an average of 27.5 points.

When Saturday’s game ended, the two teams capped their season with subdued hugs and handshakes at midfield, shuffling off the field quickly to their respective locker rooms.
