GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) - Small Business Saturday brought dozens of people out shopping to support several local Greenville businesses.
Small Business Saturday is a Black Friday follow-up created by American Express in 2010 to encourage people to shop at small businesses.
Greenville is home to many local businesses, including the Bargain Boutique, Jenni K’s, and Simply Divine Oil and Wine, all of which participated in Small Business Saturday.
“Your neighborhood is only as strong as small businesses there, so get out, spend your money, and support your friends,” said Libby Holloway, a small business shopper.
Dozens of people could be seen out shopping, and they showed that supporting local businesses is important to them.
