FISHERS, Ind. — The Toledo Walleye scored a late goal to force overtime against the Indy Fuel on Saturday but eventually fell in a shootout by a score of 3-2.

After neither team was able to find the back of the net in the first period, Indy’s Tyson Feist opened the scoring a little more than four minutes into the second.

Toledo responded quickly, as Brendon Michaelian netted his first of the year less than two minutes later to tie the game at 1.

The Fuel regained the lead early in the third thanks to Will Ennis’ tally. But the Walleye earned a power play late in regulation and made it count when Tanner Dickinson tied things up again with 4:12 left in the third.

A scoreless overtime session led to a shootout where Indy scored on all three of its chances to secure the win.
