Police: Man shot on Metropolitan Pkwy after verbal dispute

ATLANTA — A verbal dispute left one man shot in southwest Atlanta, according to the Atlanta Police Department.

Officers say they responded to a call of a person shot at 791 Metropolitan Parkway SW, around 12:11 a.m. on Nov. 28. When they arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to his left arm.

The man was alert, breathing, and conscious. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment, according to police.

Investigators say the victim was involved in a verbal dispute with another man he knew before it escalated to gunfire.

The Major Crimes Response Team responded to the scene and will continue to determine the circumstances of the incident. The investigation remains active.
