PAPER TRAILS: New Madrid earthquake prediction 35 years ago didn’t shake out, but did raise awareness

It was supposed to happen on or around Dec. 3, 1990: A massive earthquake along the New Madrid Seismic Zone would bring destruction to the area, including parts of Arkansas. This was according to Iben Browning, a New Mexico-based self-proclaimed climatologist.
