November’s races are complete after the huge turnout again at the Butterball 5K on Thanksgiving morning. One of the most interesting things about this race each year is that so many runners visit for the holidays and want to find a race before eating their big holiday meal. Participants from at least 13 states did just that this time. During my racing heyday, I looked for a race when I traveled for an extended time, and I hope these people all enjoyed Salisbury and their running while here.

December’s races are limited to two events, the Freeze Your Buns 5K in Spencer on Dec. 6 and the Santa Run for Hung
