ARVADA — Despite a hot start offensively, the Palisade High School football team was unable to pull off an upset on the road in Saturday’s Class 3A state semifinals. The No. 3 Bulldogs’ season came to a close with a 42-29 loss to No. 2 Pomona at the North Area Athletic Complex
The temperature at kickoff was a cold 21 degrees and there were snow flurries throughout the game. But the cold did little to slow the Palisade offense in the early going, as the Bulldogs scored twice before they had taken even two offensive snaps.
