Panaji: The ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) in Goa has found that nearly 90,000 voters are either absent, have shifted, are deceased, or possess duplicate voter cards, a senior official said.
State Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Sanjay Goel told reporters on Sunday in Panaji that Goa has a total of 11,85,000 voters as per the data provided at the start of the enumeration on November 4, 2025.
He said the extensive Special Intensive Revision undertaken by the commission resulted in the filling of 10,55,000 forms. The CEO added that 96.5 per cent of these forms have been digitised and received by the commission.
