Zarah Sultana launched a blistering attack on her own party's leadership in her only speech at the conference of the party she co-founded, accusing them of conducting ‘undemocratic' purges and warning the fledgling movement must not become 'Labour 2.0'. The co-founder finally entered the Your Party conference in Liverpool on its second day to deliver a defiant speech condemning the expulsion of Socialist Workers Party members and other socialist groups.
"The expulsions, the bans, the censorship on the conference floor are undemocratic," she told delegates. "It's an attack on members and this movement." Ms Sultana insisted "those decisions were made at the top, and not by you," adding: "These actions come out of the Labour right's playbook."
