Syracuse, N.Y. — After nearly an hour of addressing his team after a disappointing end to a 3-9 season, Syracuse head coach Fran Brown addressed a room of reporters curious to know what led to such a bad year. A group that asked him how much change will take place in 2026.

Brown knew what he was going to be asked, and the man that spoke about his religion all season had a final benediction ready to go.

He pointed to the season-ending injury of starting quarterback Steve Angeli, hampering injuries to other seniors like safeties Duce Chestnut and Devin Grant, and wide receiver Justus Ross-Simmons and a reliance on young players.

But Brown offered solutions for the poor brand of football that was played, which focused heavily on the offense.
