A female police officer has been banned from policing after being accused of making inappropriate advances towards a colleague, including touching his leg, and attempting to kiss him.

Brogan Canning targeted the senior officer during a night out, leaving him feeling "angry and embarrassed", a misconduct hearing was told. Despite his rejection of her advances, a panel was told how she later asked him directly: "Do you think I'm fit?".

North Yorkshire Police has since confirmed that had she not already left the force, she would have been dismissed.

Following a misconduct hearing, she has now been barred from policing, meaning she can never serve with a UK police force again.
