Red Rocks White Christmas will conclude the yearlong celebration marking the 20th anniversary of Red Rocks State Historic Site’s opening to the public. The annual holiday open house is set for 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7, at 927 Exchange St. The event is free and open to the public.
The historic William Allen White home will be decorated for the season and will feature performances by local musicians in the sitting room. The Emporia State Flute Quartet will open the program at 2 p.m., followed by pianist Bobbi Mlynar at 2:45 p.m. Emporia High School’s Viva Voce ensemble, directed by Sarah Bays, will perform at 3:30 p.m.
Holiday cookies, cider and hot chocolate will be served in the Visitor Center.
