Toronto will see a messy mix of flurries, rain and wind on the last day of November.
Environment Canada updated its special weather statement for Toronto around 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, warning of strong southwest winds with gusts reaching 60 to 70 km/h late Sunday morning. The winds were expected to ease in the evening with the gusts becoming northwesterly.
Local utility outages are possible, according to the agency.
A previous weather statement issued Saturday remained in effect for the city into the morning. Environment Canada warned of an additional two to four centimetres of snowfall into the late morning, before changing to a mix of rain and flurries.
Snowfall of up to four centimetres is still expected in areas north of Hwy. 401, according to Environment Canada.
